2007 New Black Cultural Diet Weight Loss Challenge and New Year's Resolution

Wow, it really is 2007 and of course there are so many New Year Resolutions that focus on losing weight! I am very encouraged that so many people want to lose weight or simply just to improve their lives in some form or manner. (That's what I have done for years!) Yet, I think the problem with New Year Resolutions that focus on losing weight is that they are short-lived and only focus losing weight. As we all know, losing weight is really only one thing that we often have to change in our lives. We have to change other key elements in our lives that are connect to our weight.

That's why I created the -- 2007 NEW BLACK CULTURAL DIET WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE!! It is a challenge that includes the four major areas of the New Black Cultural Diet:

1. Body Image
2. Food Selection
3. Food Preparation
4. Exercise and Physical Fitness

Although I cannot or any of the New Black Cultural Diet Team cannot participate in the 2007 New Black Cultural Diet Weight Loss Challenge, I will be working on improving my body image, food selections, food preparations, and exercise regimen because I want to work on trouble areas on my body (sides of stomach area - guys you know what I'm talking about) and find healthier ways to prepare meals!

So I will be periodically informing you on the New Black Cultural Diet Blog on how I am working on my TROUBLE areas throughout 2007! This is apart of my 2007 New Year's Resolution.
